California Privacy Notice
Monolith Interactive LLC
Last Modified: November 25, 2025
This California Privacy Notice (“Notice”) supplements the GirlfriendEngine Privacy Policy and applies solely to residents of the State of California. It is provided in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
GirlfriendEngine is intentionally designed to operate with minimal data collection and no personal information (“PII”) wherever possible. We do not ask for, require, or store names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment card numbers, or any identifiers that can be linked to a particular individual.
Because we do not collect personal information as defined under the CPRA, many rights and disclosure requirements may not apply. This Notice explains how California law interfaces with our zero-PII architecture.
1. Categories of Personal Information Collected
Under the CPRA, “personal information” refers to data that is identifiable, relatable, or reasonably linkable to a specific person or household.
We do not collect personal information.
Specifically, we do not collect:
- Names
- Email addresses
- Postal addresses
- Phone numbers
- Account names
- Government IDs
- Payment card numbers
- Demographic or protected-class information
- Biometric data
- Geolocation tied to identity
- Browsing history associated with a person
- Inferences about a user
- Any data that can reasonably identify or be associated with a California consumer
Because no identifiable California consumer data is collected, the CPRA’s personal-information categories (A–K) do not apply.
2. What We Do Collect (Non-Identifying Data Only)
To provide and maintain the Service, we process limited, non-identifying operational data, including:
- Anonymous authentication tokens
- Basic device metadata (e.g., browser type, OS)
- Routing information processed temporarily during connection
- Error logs and session timing
- Deidentified conversation data used only by the automated system during active interactions
None of this data is identifiable or reasonably linkable to a California consumer.
We do not maintain user accounts tied to identity, and we do not have the ability to associate operational data with an individual.
3. Sources of Non-Identifying Data
We receive operational data from:
- User devices interacting with our systems
- Third-party payment processors (limited to non-identifying transaction references)
We operate our own infrastructure directly and do not use external hosting or cloud data storage providers for user interactions.
4. How We Use Non-Identifying Data
We use anonymous operational data solely to:
- Provide and operate the Service
- Maintain anonymous sessions
- Support AI companion interactions
- Prevent fraud and maintain system integrity
- Debug and improve performance
- Manage coin balances and transaction confirmations
None of these uses involve personal information as defined under CPRA.
5. Sharing or Selling Data
5.1 Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information.
We have never sold personal information.
5.2 Sharing for Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising
We do not share data for advertising or profiling purposes.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting tools, or cross-site trackers.
5.3 Service Providers
Because we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data to disclose.
We may share limited operational data only with:
- Payment processors, to complete transactions
- Network and security service providers, to maintain the availability and integrity of the Service
These partners cannot access conversation data, identities, or PII.
6. California Consumer Rights
California residents typically have rights relating to personal information, including:
- Right to Know
- Right to Delete
- Right to Correct
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Data
Because we do not collect personal information, these rights generally do not apply to our Service.
However, users may still request:
- Deletion of their anonymous session token
- Removal of stored operational data associated with their internal, non-identifying system identifier
Requests may be submitted to support@monolithinteractive.net.
7. Verification of Requests
Because we do not collect identifiers, our ability to verify the identity of a consumer is inherently limited.
We will match your request to the anonymous system identifier you provide (if available) but cannot verify identity in the traditional CPRA sense.
8. Non-Discrimination
We do not discriminate against any California consumer for exercising rights under the CPRA.
9. Changes to This Notice
We may update this Notice periodically. The “Effective Date” above indicates the most recent version. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Notice.
